Brief Biography:

Mohamad Hassan Modir Shanechi (SM’86) received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with distinction from Tehran University, Tehran, Iran, and the Ph.D. degree in system science from Michigan State University, Lansing, MI, USA.,He has been a senior lecturer at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL, USA, since 2007. Prior to that, he had been an associate professor at New Mexico Tech (2001–2004), and professor at Ferdowsi University Mashhad, Iran, and Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. His research interests include power system operation, economics, and dynamics, nonlinear systems, and distributed energy resources.
